Terms of Service
Last updated September 29, 2026
These terms govern your use of Debate Evaluator, operated by Daniel Currey.
How the service handles information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Daniel Currey for Debate Evaluator. By using the site or signing in, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you can bind that organization to these terms.
The service
Debate Evaluator lets you build debate trees from a YouTube video, an upload, a live conversation, or a blank page; draft supporting and opposing arguments; score claims with language models; and review structural analysis. We may change, suspend, or retire features.
Accounts
Accounts use Google, Microsoft, GitHub, or Discord. There is no separate password on this site. You are responsible for the linked account and for activity that happens after you sign in.
You must provide accurate account information and tell us if you believe someone else is using your account. Contact danielcurrey.com to do that.
Credits and payment
Credits are a prepaid unit for using the service. They are not cash, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred. One US dollar equals 100,000 credits. Usage is charged in credits with a 2× platform markup applied to the underlying cost.
A new account may receive 50,000 credits, once per registration IP address. If the registration IP address cannot be determined, that bonus is not granted in production.
You can buy more credits through Stripe in amounts from $5 to $1,000. BYOK Access is $12 per year and lets you use your own model API keys. Stripe handles the card payment.
If a job fails or a prepaid live session is unused, we may restore the credits charged for that job. Restored credits are not a refund of a card charge. Card charges are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant Daniel Currey a worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process that content only to operate, secure, and provide the service. That includes storing prompts and transcripts, sending them to the service providers named in the Privacy Policy, and showing content to the people you choose through collaboration, a shared link, a public tree, or a live overlay.
The license ends when that content is deleted from the service, except for copies the law requires us to keep and copies already shared with other people.
You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload, paste, or stream, including recordings of other people.
Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- Break the law, or submit content you do not have rights to use.
- Abuse credits, signup bonuses, rate limits, or another person's account.
- Probe, disrupt, or overload the service, or try to get around access controls.
- Use the service to harm someone, including by publishing their private information without a right to do so.
Model output
Scores, drafted arguments, transcripts, and structural analysis come from automated systems. They can be wrong, incomplete, or in disagreement with each other. They are not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice, and they are not a finding of fact. You are responsible for how you use them.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, Daniel Currey disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Daniel Currey is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars if you paid nothing in that period.
Some places do not allow these limits. Where that is the case, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
Suspension and changes
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, or if we need to protect the service or other people. You may stop using the service at any time. Credits already spent are not returned as cash.
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the service after that date, the updated terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of these terms or the service, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim in another place.
